Corporate Express IT & Office Equipment is pleased to announce that we have been successful in our bid to provide Australian Maritime College (AMC) with all their print and imaging equipment.
AMC is one of Tasmania's highest volume users, with over 4 million pages printed per year in their print room alone! The scale of this partnership is not only demonstrated in the volume but also in the number of devices required which to date is 40 devices installed throughout the College, ranging from desktop B&W laser printers to 105ppm high end production copier/printers.
Our brief from AMC when quoting was to provide a more productive and hopefully more cost effective solution than what was in place at the time.
AMC's Print Room Manager Tim Reeve comments on the successful submission:
"Corporate Express put forward a very detailed proposal that demonstrated both productivity increases and cost savings over our existing devices across the College. Their proposal was not the lowest priced quotation we received for the replacement equipment, but it provided us with the best value for money. Corporate Express was very professional in their approach and went well outside the standard 'replace like for like' quoting model. This extra attention to detail ensuring that AMC was getting a solution tailored to our actual needs, was in the end a major contributing factor for selecting Corporate Express."
The roll out of all 40 devices was completed in two stages, with the print room completed in December 2005 and the remaining corridor MFD and desktop printers installed in February 2006. This was the largest project Corporate Express Launceston had taken on to date, and it was pleasing to see it completed smoothly and without disruption to AMC. Corporate Express has invested heavily in the last two years in staff and infrastructure in the Launceston office, and our employment of local staff and support of local communities is paying off.
AMC's Tim Reeve comments in May 2006 on the installation and performance of the equipment:
"Corporate Express managed the entire roll out of equipment and network implementation in a professional manner and with very minimal disruption to our day to day operations. They delivered and implemented all devices within agreed time frames and went beyond our expectations in relation to staff training and follow ups. I was particularly impressed with the level of professionalism shown by their staff and their prompt attention to any issue."
IT connectivity was also very important to AMC, with integration into their existing network a major factor in their decision making. All devices sold and installed into AMC are able to be remotely accessed via HP WebJet Admin for consumable supply checks, volume usage tracking and device management. This along with a consistent and stable print driver, flexible scanning solutions and user friendly interfaces allowed AMC to be confident that the devices will meet their IT needs now and into the future.
